About Regina King.
I trained at Regent's College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling and my Master degree is from City University. My training was in existential psychotherapy but I also hold a certificate in CBT. I belong to the International Society for Philosophers as I have a particular interest in philosophy and I am currently studying the 'Philosophy of Mind' and 'Searching for the Soul'. I have an Advanced Diploma Existential Psychotherapy & Counselling and I am also a member of the Society of Existential Analysis.
I am particularly interested in the analysis and interpretation of dreams which was the theme of my dissertation and I continue researching as I believe that dreams can be meaningfull to our waking lives.
I worked for the NHS, Mental Helath Dept. in Basildon where I attended weekly workshops regarding mental disturbances. I also worked for the Terrence Higgins Trust with person's diagnosed HIV positive and I had the opportunity to work with different cultures and gender issues.
I do not force any theory or technique in my work. I seriously believe in the encounter between human beings and its relationship and I base my work on it. |
