What To Expect From Your Counsellor & PsychotherapistOur first session is an opportunity for us to explore what is happening in your life and for you to get to know me and ask any questions you have. An important factor in the success of any therapy is the relationship between counsellor and client and so the first session is for you to feel comfortable and relaxed and it is for me to find out more about you and what you want to achieve.
At the end of our first session we will agree how to proceed and to discuss what treatment would be best suited to meet your needs and for us to agree the number of sessions for us to work within. As a guideline I would suggest 6 sessions is enough time to look in more detail at what you bring to counselling, however everyone’s needs are different and we can review this on an ongoing basis. Most clients have regular weekly sessions of 60 minutes, but other arrangements can be agreed.
My Packages & PricesFees for individual work is £40 per session of one hour and couple work is £45 per session of one hour, On-line counselling is £40 per session of either live “chat sessions” or live “web cam” sessions via skype, which can be downloaded free via the following link www.skype.com and is a convenient way of accessing therapy from your home
I can also provide an e-mail service which I endeavor to respond to within 3 working days. The fee for each e-mail exchange is £25 Concessions are available for any individual or couple who are experiencing difficulties in the current economic climate. Please contact me to discuss this as I do not feel that anyone should be excluded from accessing support due to financial difficulties.
About MeI am a qualified BACP Accredited Counsellor and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and my practise is based in Warrington, Cheshire. I am also a Relate Practitioner and have worked with relationships for many years.
Relationships are around us every day, when one breaks down or ends completely it can make a massive difference to how we feel, think and behave towards others and ourselves.
Therapy as I see it is to help people to become something more than who they already are and one of the ways this can be achieved is by creating within the therapeutic relationship the circumstances in which people can hear their own voices and their own stories in a way that makes it possible for others to also participate in their world in ways that make a constructive and imaginative difference.
Change is more productive from within...if YOU change....the people around you have to change.....which can be such an empowering experience....
