What is Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a most effective non-invasive therapy consisting of a sequence of precise moves over muscles and soft tissues. There is no manipulation of hard tissue and no force is used or needed. Rapid and long-lasting results are common and many conditions that have failed to respond to other treatments are found to respond very well to Bowen.
A treatment lasts around 45 minutes and can be administered through a thin layer of clothing if preferred, with no loss of efficacy.
What does the Bowen Technique treat?
Studies show the Autonomic Nervous System, which controls 80% of bodily systems and functions, is demonstrated to be greatly boosted and benefited by Bowen. This explains why The Bowen Technique is establishing itself to be so effective with such a wide range of conditions.
It has proved to bring quick relief from pain, greatly reduce stress, boost circulation, the immune system and lymphatic drainage, improve mobility, co-ordination and joint articulation, and much, much more.
Bowen Therapy repeatedly achieves excellent results with back pain, whiplash, arthritis, migraine, frozen shoulder, sciatica, tennis/golfing elbow, sports injuries etc. Respiratory, digestive, neurological and auto-immune conditions also respond exceptionally well to Bowen.
It is also being used worldwide at the highest levels in sport, as it is known to enhance sporting performances, as well as reduce instances of new, and speed recovery from existing, injuries.
Anyone can be safely treated with Bowen.
How I came to Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy was recommended to me while working as Health Editor for the Disability Times newspaper. Due to a severely incapacitating postural disorder, I was in constant pain and unable to stand or walk unaided. While other treatments, both mainstream and complementary, had only ever helped me marginally, Bowen immediately brought me such a degree of structural realignment and relief from pain, that it very soon gave me back, not only the use of my legs, but my life. It was a Godsend.
Knowing there is such a great need for it, I decided to train and qualify in The Bowen Technique in order to bring to others the exceptional results I had experienced.”
Bowen Technique Case Studies
James F-L: Near fatal car crash in 1976. Neck broken and numerous other injuries resulting in severe pain and difficulty walking.
“I can honestly say that since having Bowen therapy, I'm feeling better than I have in 30 years. The pain is far less and my mobility and balance has improved so much. Your ministrations have done more for me than any physiotherapy, pill or potion ever has.”
Sarah O: Severe psoriasis for 17 years.
After the very first session, there was already an incredible change in her whole demeanour. She was beaming and said she felt amazing. After 5 sessions her psoriasis was 90% improved. 5 weeks later at her top-up session, there was barely a trace of psoriasis. “I've tried every cream, potion and treatment available, but nothing worked. It's amazing how powerful gentle moves can be. Life is worth living with Bowen - it’s a must for everyone.”
Sue P: Whiplash 25 years earlier resulted in an impacted neck, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, pelvic imbalance & severe pain.
After 25 years of various treatments including physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, acupuncture and cortico-steroid injections with no improvement, she had almost given up hope. “After only one Bowen session my neck felt far freer and I was sleeping much better. Now, thanks to Bowen, I have improved far beyond what I'd come to believe was possible.”
Patrick L: Arm immovable from a sling position after shoulder fracture.
Physiotherapy didn't help and a Consultant Surgeon told him he'd never move his arm again without an operation. After 5 Bowen sessions he was backTen-Pin bowling. “After last week’s Bowen, I was in heaven. It was phenomenal.”
Pat G: Longstanding, severely debilitating back, coccyx, groin and leg pain. Unable to relax or sleep.
“I can’t believe how much better I am. It’s incredible. I can sleep, I haven’t a pain in my body and I’m so relaxed – I could relax for England! I’m a new woman. I’m so happy!”
