Sports and Remedial Massage
You will be asked to perform a series of active and passive movements, so that areas of restriction can be identified. You will be asked to undress down to your underwear for this purpose, as well as for the treatment. However, shorts and a crop top (females) are also acceptable. Findings will be discussed with you and a treatment plan formulated that is geared towards your individual needs.
Treatment will then proceed and you will be asked to lie on the massage couch, appropriately draped with towels. Light massage oil/lotion will be used, as well as deep tissue massage and other specialised techniques to promote muscular relaxation and increased range of motion.
At the end of your session, your treatment will be reviewed and an overall treatment plan will be discussed with you. This will include the anticipated number of visits and exercises to perform in between sessions. This treatment plan will always include both your short and long term goals.
Craniosacral Therapy
You will be asked to lie fully clothed on the massage table, whilst your therapist uses a very light touch, initially at your feet, to locate any restrictions in your system. Throughout your treatment, your therapist will use this light touch on other parts of your body, where you may feel releases occurring, followed by a deep sense of relaxation and stillness. Treatment can take a day or two to integrate, so please take time to rest and drink plenty of water following your session.

About Ros
I originally trained as a nurse, specialising in the care of renal patients. I discovered complementary and alternative therapies (CAM's) in 2001 and have personal experience and knowledge of several, including craniosacral therapy, shiatsu and homeopathy. It was through my use and study of homeopathy that I first discovered Craniosacral Therapy and since this time, I have undertaken postgraduate training in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute in the UK. They provide training for healthcare professionals and practitioners trained in other CAM modalities. I have undertaken both Craniosacral Therapy modules (CSTI and CSTII) and both SomatoEmotional Release modules (SERI and SERII). It was whilst studying Craniosacral Therapy that I decided to receive my Reiki attunements to help increase my sensitivity. I am a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher and also a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher.
Having studied therapeutic massage during the first year of my degree in therapeutic bodywork, I ultimately discovered advanced abdominal massage techniques and have taken two specialist courses in Chi Nei Tsang (Taoist Abdominal Massage) at the Healing Tao Centre in London. I was then introduced to Maya Abdominal Massage, an ancient form of healing taught in Belize and the USA by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, an American Naprapath. I undertook the Professional training in 2007 and hope to undertake my Certification training sometime next year, with Dr. Arvigo in the USA.
