About my therapy 

I treat a wide range of problems from smoking cessation and weight loss to anxiety and depression taking an ecletic approach to therapy and drawing on a variety of therapeutic psychological theories in order to produce a treatment plan which is tailor made for each individual. I utilise Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as appropriate. The treatment plan is drawn up in conjunction with the client who is asked to be fully involved in it's development. In this way a therapeutic alliance is formed between client and therapist which enables progress to be made in dealing with and resolving the presenting issue.
 
What to expect

Before undertaking any therapy sessions I invite all potential clients to come for a short consultation during which they may ask any further questions. It is also an opportunity for the client and therapist to decide if they feel comfortable and able to work together. This session, which will last for only twenty minutes or so is free of charge.
 
If the client decides to proceed to therapy then the first visit will take the form of an Initial Consultation. During this session a health questionnaire will be completed before the presenting issue is fully discused, explored and a course of therapy decided upon. If it is decided that hypnosis would be a useful part of the therapy then a mild hypnotic state may be induced, that the client may understand what is involved and experience this relaxed state.  At subsequent sessions the treatment plan will be reviewed adjusted and implemented accordingly. All session last for approximately 1 hour.

First meeting is free of charge - 20 minutes

Therapy sessions                    £40 per hour

Home visits                             £55 per hour

5 sessions booked/payed in advance  £180*

*(If the course is not completed used session will be charge at full hourly rate)
