Pat Truman de Reimers is qualified and experienced in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and practices under the Code of Conduct of the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists of which is she is a member. Based in Greenwich she draws her clients for hypnotherapy from all over South London including Charlton, Deptford, Peckham, Blackheath and Lewisham. Pat is also a graduate of the Institute of Personnel Training and Development and has worked for many years in private industry where she specialised in welfare, counselling, training and personal development. More recently she has worked in the public and educational sectors devising and running course in stress management, goal setting, decision making, time management and assertiveness training.

What to Expect
Q. What happens during a session?

A. The first session usually takes 1 hour 15 minutes during which your case history is reviewed before starting hypnosis.

This takes the form of a deep body relaxation to induce a trance-like state. It is in this trance state that  therapy is given.

I will need to know about your previous medical history and details about any medication you are taking.


What is hypnosis like?
The actual experience of being hypnotised is very difficult to describe, a state of neither asleep nor awake. All hypnotic states are characterised by a tremendously pleasant state of relaxation, an altered state of consciousness into which individuals allow themselves to enter so that the desired beneficial suggestions may be given to the unconscious mind.

Thus hypnosis is a natural, effective way of making contact with the inner (unconscious) self, which can be a source of many of our problems.

Modern hypnotherapists use hypnosis for not only medical purposes, but also as an aid to the resolution of many problems of psychological origin.


NLP, Counselling and Psychotherapy
Counselling provides a safe and confidential place to explore issues which affect the way you feel about yourself. You may wish to develop self awareness, change patterns of behaviour in your life, or find practical solutions to problems that you are finding.

By making the choice to seek help from a counsellor, you are allowing yourself the space to talk with someone who has no invested interest in directing you one way or the other.
