Areas of speciality
We offer specialist physiotherapy and specialist Occupational Therapy services, in the areas of Neurological Rehabilitation - including treatment of Stroke, Brain Injury, spinal cord injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Ataxia, balance and mobility problems, and all neurological conditions. We also offer 'back to work / leisure / driving' assessments and treatments, as appropriate to the individual.

What to expect
We will discuss with you your goals and difficulties, and work together to make a rehabilitation programme that will target these problems. We will use specific handling techniques to activate and align muscle groups and joints, to help your function, balance and strength for your function in your everyday life. We will establish a home exercise programme so that you can progress in between treatment sessions too. Assessment and treatment can take place within the clinic (in Chester) or as a Home visit (your home or nursing home, as appropriate).

About the staff

Clare Fraser
The principal physiotherapist is an expert Bobath Tutor practitioner who has worked within the NHS for over 20 years within the field of neurological rehabilitation, and still does part time within Clatterbridge Hospital Stroke Rehabilitation Unit. She teaches post-graduate physiotherapists and occupational therapists around the UK. She is a member of the Health Professions Council (HPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Neurology (ACPIN).

Tony Probbing
Tony Probbing is a highly specialist Occupational Therapist, registered with the Health Professions Council and College of Occupational Therapists, with a special interest in Neurological Rehabilitation including cognitive and perceptual assessment and treatment, Mental Capacity Assessments, and 'back to work / driving' rehabilitation. He has over 15 years experience within the NHS and currently works at the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Clatterbridge Hospital, Wirral.

Prices
Assessment and Treatment sessions = £70 per hour / £52.50 per 45 minutes
Home Visits = as above but with minimal petrol costs added.
FREE verbal consultation (either on the phone or at the clinic)
