Complementary Therapy Balderton, Newark on Trent

Hi, I am Sue McFarlane and I have been working with clients since 2002 to help them towards better health & vitality.

I offer a range of therapies in order that the ideal combination can be recommended for each individual.

A summary of therapies is given below but if you are unsure of which might be best for you, please contact me.

DIET MOT©
Find out sensible ways to improve areas such as energy levels, body weight or skin condition. Ideal for those who feel their diet is not too bad but think that they could benefit from knowing how to make better food choices.  Could improve your health status, work performance and may prevent future health issues.

Nutrition Consultation
Improved nutrition through healthy eating has been shown to help many chronic health conditions. A full health history & lifestyle analysis with personal goals is taken. An individualised plan is produced detailing optimal food choices and useful nutrition supplements.

Food sensitivity, functional or biochemical tests may be suggested. Review sessions follow up on progress and ensure best results are achieved.

Iridology
A simple, non-invasive assessment of the iris of each eye could indicate inherited strengths and weaknesses in your constitution. Although not a diagnostic tool, iridology can help relate health issues to dysfunctional systems in the body and identify changes to optimise food and lifestyle choices.

The therapy of touch to stimulate, relax or promote healing within the skin and muscles of the body. Each massage is individual and adapted to your own needs. Body Massage can soothe or invigorate tired muscles and incorporates a variety of different techniques. The nervous system may be calmed and the circulation of beneficial nutrients improved. Treatments (30 / 60 mins) include areas such as the neck, back, shoulder, legs, arms, abdomen or whole body.

Deep Tissue/Sport Massage can improve mobility, boost physical performance, relieve pain due to postural issues, boost circulation and may reduce cellulite. Sports or activity injuries may be prevented through better mobility and healing of soft tissue or recovery times, post-event, reduced.

Hot Stone Massage combines the relaxing warmth and subtle healing energies of basalt stones with a gentle touch massage technique to promote a deep level of relaxation, balanced energy flow and feeling of calm.

Seated Massage is a treatment offered to relieve tension and discomfort in the neck, shoulder and back, often caused by poor posture. It can be carried out through light clothing and is ideal for workplace treatments

Reiki
By channelling the Universal Healing Energy, Reiki has its own ‘intelligence’ and goes where it is needed within the body to promote calm, well-being and energy balance. This treatment aims to re-balance the 7 main Chakra of your body and will usually include the use of crystals to encourage gentle cleansing and optimal energy flow.
