Natural Healthworks is a holistic health practice experienced in dealing with a wide range of conditions including insomnia, infertility, depression, weight loss and hormonal imbalances. Using naturopathy, herbal medicine, homeopathy, iridology and clinical nutrition, the treatment is customised and specific to each individual client. Melanie White, the principal practitioner, studied at Australias premier naturopathic college and at the University of New England and is a member of the General Council of Naturopaths, the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists International and the National Herbalists Association of Australia. I am located in Sandhurst, Gloucestershire and I draw my clients from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Stroud.

About Natural Healthworks

Natural Healthworks is a naturopathic practice based at The Tree of Life Centre in Staverton, Cheltenham.

Naturopathy is a system of healing which seeks to use the natural healing powers of the body to cure itself. The naturopathic approach focuses on treating the cause of illness rather than just the symptoms and is rooted in the belief that health is more than the absence of disease. Good health is the normal harmonious state for the human body and naturopathic treatment is aimed at achieving optimum wellness.

The naturopathic approach recognises that there is a connection between the mind, body and spirit and that poor or disturbed function in one part of the body leads to poor function elsewhere. Treatment is therefore holistic and addresses an individual’s physical, mental and emotional states.

The treatment plan which is devised will be specific to you and to your body’s needs. It may involve dietary and lifestyle changes, taking vitamin, mineral or food supplements or natural medicines such as herbal, homeopathic or flower remedies.

Conventional medicine now accepts many of the benefits of naturopathy and there is a wealth of evidence to support them, for instance the benefits of a diet low in saturated animal fats and high in fibre and as free as possible from harmful pesticides and chemicals.
