Marie Peck Reflexology St Albans Hertfordshire

I am a fully qualified Reflexologist based in St Albans, Hertfordshire with over 5 years experience. My clients also come from the areas of Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Watford, and Welwyn garden City.

My approach is to tailor treatments especially for each person, in a relaxed, unhurried way so that this therapy can ‘speak for itself’ in helping them find real benefits. Many clients have reported significant lessening of stress levels and improved sleep after a course of treatments. I also like to keep prices reasonable (£25 for a one-hour session).

My training and qualifications are accredited with the Association of Reflexologists, one of the leading organisations for Reflexology in the country: all members work to their strict code of conduct and ethics.

About Reflexology St Albans

Reflexology aims to treat the whole person through accessing certain reflex areas which are found on the soles, sides and top of each foot.  Every part of the foot is thoroughly but gently worked with thumb and finger pressure – this effect is relayed to the associated areas and organs of the body.  Often, treatment may detect an imbalance which can be carefully worked out to aid health problems. Many people like to use Reflexology to maintain good health.

What does it do?
Each of us has an inbuilt healing capacity. Reflexology works directly with this to assist in alleviating many disorders.

Excellent for stress and tension, it has been shown to help depression and anxiety, hormonal imbalances (e.g. PMS, Menopause), sleep disorders, headaches, asthma, circulation problems, digestive disorders (inc.IBS),  emotional issues, skin conditions, back pain and muscular pain/stiffness.

What to expect at your first session
At the first appointment you will be given time and space to fully discuss your general health and wellbeing.  During the session you will relax on a comfortable couch in a calming therapy room.  Only shoes and socks need to be removed and to start, a soothing foot massage will be given. Treatments should feel comfortable, as pressure too can be adjusted to suit each client - in fact many will drift off to sleep during a session.

How many treatments will I need?
This can best be assessed during the initial consultation.
Many clients are amazed at the feeling of lightness and total relaxation after a single reflexology treatment.  However, longer standing conditions may take time to respond, and usually the best effects are seen after 4-6 treatments.

Prices and packages
£25 for an hour-long treatment. Consultation is free of charge, but please allow an extra 15-20 minutes for this at the first session.

Special offer
New clients can benefit from a package of six treatments for the price of five.

Opening times
Between 10am and 6pm Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday.

About me
Following a lifelong interest in holistic health matters, I had no hesitation,  after bringing up my family, in choosing to retrain in Reflexology during 2006/7.  The training was in-depth and my Level 3 Diploma is backed up by continuing to keep abreast in all aspects of my chosen therapy.
