I am a qualified Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist, registered with the UKCP, and The British Psychological Society. My clients range from those who are seeking support in dealing with a life crisis, or help with depression and anxiety, to others who have approached a psychotherapist as a result of a desire to improve their quality of life or to develop personal insight. In addition to my private practice I work as a Counselling Psychologist in the NHS, where I see clients who have been referred for help in managing the psychological impact of chronic illness. I also offer psychotherapy to students who are undergoing counselling or psychotherapy training. My Practice is located in Brighton and I typically draw m clients from the surrounding area of Eastbourne.

Often when in the middle of a crisis, or when facing a difficult situation, it is hard to believe that a sense of order may be re-established. At times like this it is often helpful to speak to a professional who is able to help you gain some perspective. Whether the issues for exploration are of a profound and long term nature, or a reaction to current stresses, psychotherapy can offer a safe and impartial space to reach an increased understanding of the situation.

Through helping you develop an awareness of why you feel the way you do about yourself and others, and exploring how you respond to life and those around you, psychotherapy can promote self-discovery and an increased capacity for choice.

However, there are many approaches to psychotherapy and all psychotherapists will practice according to their own philosophy and training. Believing as I do in the uniqueness of every individual, I work from an integrative perspective, combining a number of approaches to ensure that I am able to offer to my clients a therapeutic relationship based on their specific needs and personality.

In this way we can together begin to consider problems from different perspectives, thus allowing for the influence of past experiences, current circumstances and future possibilities.
