About me
I was born in 1955, in Birkenhead, the daughter of a Doctor and a Vet. In those days Doctors were “family” Doctors and my mothers’ practice in the roughest dockland area of Birkenhead was just that. During my school holidays, with her patients agreement, I sat in the consulting room during morning surgery or helped her receptionist if it wasn’t appropriate for me to be in the room. I watched, observed and I thought a lot about her patients, some of them I knew for years - so often were their repeat visits to her.

As a 17 year old I spent a year working in my fathers Veterinary practice, assisting at operations, in the surgery, helping with various procedures such as dehorning, castrating and emergency’s such as colic and calving etc.

This background has had a deep impact on my decision to become a Homeopath.

During my childhood I suffered many bouts of Bronchitis and Dysmenorrhoea so severe, I had to have a D & C operation at 16. Through watching my parents I was convinced that I wanted to help people to get better and with this in mind in 1973 I moved to Sheffield and started nursing. The first six months had a deep impact on me because it was then I realised that unless through surgery or a lifetime of drugs people didn’t get better, much of my nursing experience was with very sick or terminally ill children and feeling very sad, helpless and disillusioned I left nursing and took up a completely different career.

Some two years later in 1975 I moved and signed on with an alternative GP who treated me Homoeopathically for my Bronchitis - I got better and I promptly forgot about the miracle which had occurred for me with Homeopathy until 2005 when I got ill again and I remembered my experience and rediscovered it. This was the start of my Homeopathic career and through my training and my clinical practice, I know that I will finally be able to help people to achieve a better standard of health.

My Qualifications
I studied for two years with the North West College of Homeopathy and then moved to the world renowned School of Homeopathy for my third and fourth year (DSH) I am registered with the Society of Homeopaths (RSHom). I have also spent a year studying with the Aroga School in a specific method of case taking practiced in India and spent much of my continuing professional development learning from the Indian homeopaths Dr. Rajan Sankaran and Dr, Sujit Chatterjee who practice this way.
