About MeI am Kathy Payne and I help people improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, using homeopathy. As a recognised Foresight Pre-conceptual Care practitioner, I am also passionate about helping people have happy, healthy babies.
My interest in natural health is long-standing and over the years I have benefitted enormously myself from homeopathy, nutritional therapy, osteopathy, remedial massage and other therapies.
About Homeopathy
What is Homeopathy? Well, it’s a natural system of healing that treats the whole person and it aims to stimulate our own natural healing to improve health and restore balance. It is very different to conventional medicine, which uses some form of medication to suppress symptoms or treat a diagnosed disease.
Homeopathy is often used alongside conventional medicine or it can be used as an alternative, if the patient so chooses.
You can read much more about it on GoToSee’s page explaining Homeopathy via the link below.
What are the main benefits of Homeopathy? In a nutshell, it’s completely natural, it’s safe and anyone can use it- yes anyone from babies, through to pregnant women to the elderly. There are no harmful side effects or addictions formed to homeopathic remedies. And it can be used for mental, emotional or physical symptoms. Please see below for the type of conditions a homeopath might see
No wonder it is the second most widely used form of medicine for primary care in the world today!
The care I provide is individual to you and I take into account a whole range of factors including your personal health history, family health history, lifestyle, personal traits, environmental influences and so on. A consultation allows plenty of time (up to 1.5 hours for the first appointment) to discuss things, rather than being hurried into a few minutes. It’s completely confidential and I am bound by a strict professional code, so you can be assured of high standards.
You can still use homeopathy alongside your conventional treatment; in fact I encourage patients to maintain a good relationship with their G.P. and – with your written permission- I can liaise directly with any other health professionals, who are helping you.
About Foresight Pre-conceptual CareAbout one in seven UK couples has issues with fertility and of those cases approximately 25% has no clear, diagnosed cause.
Foresight is a programme developed to help create healthy, happy babies. By improving natural health in both parents it enhances fertility and successful pregnancy.
The preconceptual approach I use can help with overcoming some of the main issues in connection with conception, pregnancy & birth:
- Infertility
- Low Sperm Count
- Secondary Infertility
- Miscarriage
- Birth Defects
- Low Birth Weight
- Premature Birth
- Post Partum Depression
- Breast Feeding
What is Foresight Pre-Conceptual care?Basically it optimizes your chances of having a happy, healthy baby, whether to have previously experienced difficulties in conceiving/carrying a child or not. Your health before conception has a bearing on your fertility, pregnancy, labour, birth and the future health of your child and even their children.
People following the programme fully have an excellent chance of going on to have a child; at Foresights last analysis, the figure was over 80% (Foresight’s own statistics on their clients 2002 – 2009. Just over 60% had a child, completing the programme only partially)
With this approach. both parents are assessed to determine any underlying challenges which may affect/be affecting their fertility e.g:-
- Vitamin and mineral deficiency and/or imbalance
- Allergies and intolerances
- Parasites, yeasts and moulds
- Genito-urinary infections
- Social “poisons” such as alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, caffeine
- Toxic metals from our environment
- Manmade electromagnetic fields e.g. wifi and naturally occurring radiation e.g. from fault lines or underground water sources.
What are the main benefits of pre-conceptual care?I then develop a tailored programme for you, based on the Foresight model. Treatments can include improved nutrition, lifestyle changes, homeopathy, other complementary therapies (I can recommend some other professionals personally, if appropriate) and some changes in the home.
Completing the programme might take some application, but is much cheaper than conventional alternatives such as IVF and is so worth it to have a lovely baby and optimise their health, as well as your own.
Homeopathy is safe to use for pregnant women and could be very helpful if you suffer any common minor ailments associated with pregnancy such as morning sickness or constipation. I can go on to help you prepare for childbirth using a kit of homeopathic remedies too and very much look forward to working with your children, should the need arise.
