I have been a practicing Homeopath for ten years. I also practice Reflexology, Crystal Therapy, Reiki, Metamorphic Technique, Hopi Ear
Candling, Indian Head Massage, Thai Foot Massage, Rejuvenating Face
Massage and Colour Therapy.
All these therapies work on a holistic level, therefore they address
- Mental
- Emotional
- Physical
- Spiritual imbalances
In addition to their positive effects on a physical level, I believe all
these therapies are integral to the client’s personal development and
sense of self-awareness. On occasions if required, these therapies can
also be used to enhance the spiritual development of an individual.
What to Expect
A session will last between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on what the
therapy you choose. What will occur during the treatment in terms of
procedure can be clearly described to the client, however it is not
possible to describe to the client exactly what they will experience as
we are all individuals and thus our experiences will differ. For Reiki,
Crystal Therapy, Face Massage, Hopi Ear Candles & Thai Foot Massage
I use a couch, for Metamorphic Technique & Reflexology I use a La
Fuma reflexology chair and Indian Head Massage takes place sitting on an
upright chair. Please read about the therapies in more detail below

About the TherapiesHOMEOPATHY treats according the The Law of Similars, ie treating like with like. The practitioner gives the patient a remedy that matches their symptoms. It is a natural healing process and homeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body to heal itself.
An imbalance in a person’s vital force/life energy will manifest in the body & will produce symptoms of disease.
Homeopathy is an effective way of treating both chronic and acute symptoms experienced by the patient. By using this method of treatment, the patient’s vital force is re-balanced.
Patients are treated individually & holistically. They are given a remedy that matches their own unique presenting picture. This picture is made up of mental, emotional & physical symptoms & will include information on character, lifestyle, diet, fears, sleep patterns, stress factors etc. The practitioner will spend at least an hour with the patient, often longer, in order to gather all the relevant information to make up this picture.
The remedies given are all made of natural substances, plants and minerals. Homeopathy is a very gentle approach to healing; the medicines rarely have side effects and are not dangerous.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE Indian head massage is an Indian tradition dating back 4000 years. The origins can be traced to family members who sat behind one another, massaging with oils to promote healthy hair growth, shine, and heal scalp conditions with herbs, spices and oils. Oils with different healing properties were used, depending on the person’s condition and what they would get out of the treatment. The massage techniques have always been commonplace in India. Indian head massage is also part of Ayurvedic tradition of medicine, which has been used for a similar length of time. Ayurvedic medicine is based on holistic healing, incorporating mind, body and spirit. The vital force will work at optimum strength if mind, body and spirit are balanced in a person (or indeed any living thing). Indian Head Massage has become westernised to combat stress in our modern lifestyles. The massage therefore includes neck, shoulders, upper arms and back to just below the scapula area. It is now used widely in offices where stress and aches and pains have become common place. This Massage stimulates blood flow to all areas of head, neck and shoulders and should leave you feeling relaxed in mind and body.
REIKI Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “Life Energy” and is a system of healing that involves the laying on of hands. It is thought that Reiki is well over 2,500 years old, used originally by Tibetan Buddhist monks, but it was rediscovered in the 1800’s by a Japanese man, Mikao Usui. Reiki has a way of naturally flowing to the area where it is most needed in a person receiving treatment. It can effect changes on many levels, ie physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The Healer’s hands are placed in certain positions on the body and the Reiki energy flows into the patient, regenerating, rebuilding and balancing. The healer can arrange to send healing to a person at any given time wherever they are. The aura & the energy which flows through the subtle energy system (chakras & meridians) is known as Ki, Chi or Life Force energy. Reiki feeds, stimulates & in some cases calms this energy flow, thereby bringing about a state of balance, equilibrium & harmony within the mind, body & spirit.
CRYSTAL THERAPY Crystal Therapy is an ancient treatment which has started to grow in popularity again in recent times. Although a therapy in its own right, crystals are now used by many therapists to enhance the effectiveness of other treatments. During a crystal healing session, crystals are placed on or around the person, who remains fully clothed. The subtle energy system of the person – meridians, chakras, pressure points etc are energised and balanced and clients often report experiences such as deep and profound states of relaxation during the treatment. Some other effects commonly attributed to crystal therapy are a sense of feeling refreshed, uplifted and energised. The treatment is non invasive and suitable for everybody.
REFLEXOLOGY Reflexology, sometimes known as reflex zone therapy, is a form of foot massage which works on the principle that all the systems and organs of the body are reflected in the feet. When specific foot reflex points are stimulated, energy pathways are opened up, revitalising the body so that the natural internal healing mechanisms of the body can do their work. The healing art of reflexology has been known for thousands of years and was first practised by the early Indian, Egyptian and Chinese people. It was first introduced into Europe in the early part of the twentieth century and England in the sixties. The main objective is to help people attain and maintain a better state of health and wellbeing.
Reflexology is a truly holistic and non-invasive complementary therapy and can:
- Relieve many acute and chronic conditions and health problems
- Relieve stress and tension
- Induce deep relaxation
- Improve circulation
- Cleanse body of toxins and impurities
- Help the body cope with pain
- Ensure physical and emotional wellbeing
- Act as preventative health care
- Revitalise energy
- Facilitate self-healing
- Balance the whole system (mind, body and spirit)
METAMORPHIC TECHNIQUE This technique originates from reflexology. It was discovered that light touch on particular points on the feet could be very effective and appeared to activate self healing. By using a light touch to the spinal reflex points on the feet, hands & head, the Metamorphic practitioner acts as a catalyst to the person’s life force. The purpose of the technique is to help you effect change, hence the name. Blockages in the energy flow are naturally released allowing the person to free themselves from past influences, to let go and to move on. Metamorphic Technique is non-invasive, gentle and safe, and is accessible to everyone.
HOPI EAR CANDLING (Thermal Auricular Therapy) Hopi ear candles originate from The Hopi, the oldest Pueblo people, who have a great medicinal knowledge & high degree of spirituality. The ear candles are made from pure beeswax, honey extract & traditional herbs ie Sage, St John’s wort, Camomile & essential oils. The ear candles have a purely physical function. A light suction action, creating a chimney effect & the movement of the flame create a vibration of air in the ear candle, this generates a massage-like effect on the eardrum. This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and balance of pressure in the ears, forehead & sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache & headache, ear noise, stress & nervousness. It is used for soothing and also releases pressure which causes pain in and around the ears and sinuses. It can also relieve nasal blockages and improve sense of smell. It is also a very relaxing treatment and as it doesn’t take very long, it is usually followed by a short session of another therapy, ie gentle facial, scalp massage or some soothing reiki.
THAI FOOT MASSAGE is an ancient method of massage which incorporates aspects of Reflexology, Shiatsu, Chinese Massage and Yoga. It can be traced back to over 2,000 years and appears to be strongly influenced by the Indian Ayurvedic system of healing as well as the aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As opposed to western massage, Thai massage is a treatment which combines the benefits of massage with pressure point stimulation and stretching which helps to work the ligaments, muscles, nerves, joints and internal organs. In addition to this, Thai massage stimulates prana, ki, chi or lifeforce energy by encouraging the flow through pressure on specific energy points, thereby encouraging the body to reassert natural balance and flow which in turns encourages the body to self heal. TFM Can help to:
- Relieve stress, tension and anxiety
- Boost the immune system
- Improve flexibility
- Aid Insomnia
- Aid Mental Fatigue
- Stimulate the release of toxins through lymphatic drainage
- Improve the circulation in the legs, hands and feet.
- Improve the chi flow through the body
Overall Thai Foot Massage can provide a sense of very deep relaxation and well being as it is considered to be both physical and spiritual treatment. During the treatment it is hoped that both the client and the practitioner reach a state of relaxation as the procedure should be a meditative process not unlike that of Indian Head Massage. However, following a session the client should feel centred and grounded rather than floaty and ungrounded.
ChargesAll therapies are charged at £35 for an hours treatment, with an additional £5 if I am required to visit the client at their own home. Homeopathy is charged at £50 for the first visit, to include remedies
Testimonials“Lucky for me Kate came into my life at a time when I was suffering from and struggling with depression. I have had a range of treatments from Indian Head Massage, crystals to reflexology, all of which have helped me in ways I would struggle to explain. I am not an expert in this field and cannot profess to know how it all works but I can speak from the heart and say that Kate's knowledge and kind heart, caring and spiritual nature has healed me in ways a pill cannot.”
Carol Alcock, Reigate, Surrey "I had Reiki and Crystal Treatments with Kate at a time when I was very ill. I found her very supportive and the treatments helped me regain equilibrium. The spiritual insights I received helped me to move forward and gave me the confidence to develop new skills."
Marian Holmes, Nutfield, Surrey “In October of 2006 one of my discs decided to prolaspe and trap a nerve in my neck, initially the medical staff just gave me medication as this problem hadn't been diagnosed, so despite taking very strong painkillers, heat rubs etc nothing worked and I was signed off sick for over 3 months due to the constant pain and not being able to use my left arm. Shortly before Christmas I paid to go and see a neurologist as nothing was working and I needed to get back to work but was unable to do so because of the discomfort and the nature of my job necessitating the use of both arms. I was given an MRI scan and also nerve conduction tests to find finally that the pain I had been experiencing all this while was due to the disc at c5/6 had moved and trapped a nerve. It was at this point as I was down south at the time and knew Kate that I went to her home, whereby she performed a reiki therapy on my shoulder, I immediately felt my shoulders drop, relaxed and felt relief for the first time in nearly 9 weeks. This continued to improve and my need for regular daily painkillers reduced allowing me to return to work finally in the second week of January 07. I am eternally grateful to and will remain so to Kate for this, as I was becoming depressed and in constant pain, Kate has a wonderful gift and is always willing to help others.”
