I run my practice from the calm, relaxed environment of my home in central Cambridge. I am also qualified in the Wat Po style of Thai Massage and have regular clients coming to me for this too. I regularly practice Iyengar and Sivananda yoga and meditation. Situated in Cambridge, I typically draw my clients from the surrounding areas of Haverhill, Peterborough, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Royston and Bedford.
About Shiatsu Cambridge Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese healing art. The word Shiatsu means “finger pressure” - a treatment incorporating gentle manipulations, stretches and pressure using fingers, thumbs, palms and feet to various points on the body. It is based on the same underlying philosophy and principles as acupuncture.
Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience which can help in a wide range of conditions from specific injuries to more general symptoms of poor health. Regular Shiatsu can help to prevent the build up of stress in our daily lives and therefore, the potential for the disease to manifest.
As well as those listed under 'Conditions treated', Shiatsu can be effective in preparing the body for conception in pregnancy, to continue to treat the pregnant mother throughout her pregnancy and during delivery of the baby.
I do a lot of work with clients on deep core muscle release to relieve long term back tension and pain.
I regularly treat clients who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. Benefits they report include improvement in circulation; increased energy; emotional uplift and short term increased mobility and flexibility of limbs.
Shiatsu is practiced fully clothed and it is advisable to wear loose, comfortable leggings or trousers and socks for the treatment.

About Thai Massage Cambridge Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing art with origins in India dating back over 2,500 years. Thumb pressure and applied yoga stretches help to re-align the body, maintain flexibility, relieve muscular tension and balance the body's energy.
Regular Thai Massage will improve muscle tone, detox the body, relieve fluid retention and aid drainage of the body's lymphatic system.
Thai Massage works with both body and mind and can treat conditions resulting from physical and emotional stress.
My prices and treatment hours I charge £40 for a 1-hour treatment. I charge the same for the initial treatment and consultation which last approx 1.5 hours.
I offer an introductory package of 3 treatments for £110, paid in advance, to be used over 3 months. I work Monday to Friday from 9am until 9pm and Saturday mornings.
I reserve the right to charge the full cost of a treatment (ie £40) for any cancellation made within 48 hours of the appointment time or any non attendance, unless there are unavoidable circumstances or an acceptable reason for so doing.
I am also currently a student of acupuncture.
Initial Consultation During the initial consultation I will ask you about your previous medical history and your life style so that I can build a holistic picture of you to help form the basis of a diagnosis for treatment. So please bring with you a list of any medication you may be taking.
I advise you to refrain from eating 2 hours before coming for your treatment. Also avoid alcohol and caffeine the same day as Shiatsu helps to detox the body and alcohol and caffeine are stimulants which will prevent this from happening effectively and could make you feel drowsy or nauseous after.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding Massage & Shiatsu Cambridge. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
We always advise with any conditions, ailment or health problem you take independent medical advice from your GP before considering a complementrary therapy, alternative medicine or alternative treatment.
