My name is Judy Rowley, and my website is here to give you some ideas of how the combination of certified hypnotherapy and personal development coaching that I offer can help you. Whether you are looking to change important aspects of your life or just need to deal with an issue you feel has been blighting an area of your life, I am here to help you change things for the better.
About Me My name is Judy Rowley and I offer you a unique combination of hypnotherapy and coaching that can help you make the changes you want to in your life.
I have been a qualified coach for nearly a decade, and part of my work is in a large organisation coaching senior managers and teams. A few years ago I found hypnotherapy very useful in overcoming one of my fears and issues, and decided to become a qualified hypnotherapist myself so I can make my coaching even more effective, and pass on to other people what I learnt.
My first careers in social work and adult education give me a deep understanding of what makes people tick and how we all have our unique ways of living our lives. I enjoy working with individual people and with small groups, as I find that both can be equally effective in making change happen.
My Philisophy Sometimes everyone needs support, challenge and help to make the most of themselves and to overcome the big and the less important issues that arise in everyday life. This is what I can offer you.
I believe that everyone has within themselves the resources they need to change the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that get in the way of living their life to the full. But sometimes these resources can be hard to find without outside help.
Coaching helps with the areas that you can consciously change and develop; hypnotherapy gets through to the unconscious working of the brain and tackles things at source. Sometimes willpower and conscious effort is not enough! And this is where the combination of coaching and hypnotherapy can have almost magical effects.
Therapies and how they Work
Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapy uses different levels of consciousness to achieve changes in behaviour. A light trance state is very similar to day-dreaming, where you are relaxed and on ‘automatic pilot’, and as you go into a deeper trance state and become more relaxed, you can focus on what you want to achieve. By by-passing your conscious mind, greater changes can be more easily made. Willpower can sometimes help you make changes, but sometimes it is just not enough. By using the unconscious parts of the brain, changes can actually be made in the way the brain functions to create new ways of behaving. For example, new thought patterns can be created to drive away old fears .
Coaching In my coaching:- • I help you to think clearly and creatively. • I act as a non-judgmental sounding board for your thoughts and ideas. • I support you and challenge you. • I help you to use your strengths, skills and experience to get where you want. • I help you focus on the present not the past. • I help to keep you focused and motivated by helping you plan, take action and celebrate every step towards your goals.
What to expect Hypnotherapy usually takes 3 to 4 sessions for you to gain the maximum benefit, but sometimes 1 session may be enough, depending on what you want to deal with. Each session will include both talking and hypnosis, and you will end each session feeling relaxed, refreshed and alert. The sessions usually last for between 60 to 75 minutes. Hypnosis cannot make you do something you don’t want to do or think is unacceptable, and you can end your trance state at any time.
Coaching usually takes place over 4 to 6 sessions each lasting up to an hour, over a period of several weeks, depending on what works best for you These are usually face-to-face, but may also be over the phone or by email, If this is more convenient. After the agreed number of sessions, there will be time to assess whether you want more coaching and if so, how and when.

Packages and Prices
Individual sessions for Hypnotherapy and Coaching are between £45 and £60, with discounts available in certain circumstances. Half-day workshops for coaching and hypnotherapy can be arranged for small groups of people who wish to work on a specific topic, such as dealing with stress, coping with exam nerves, increasing self confidence, etc. If you wish to enquire about arranging a workshop, please contact me to discuss the details, so I can make sure you get what you want.
Some open workshops are available, such as Stress Less, Stop your Nibbling, and Break that Habit.
Sessions are available at evenings and weekends, with occasional daytime and early morning sessions by arrangement.
