Areas of SpecialityReiki is used extensively in its own right in the treatment of:
- Sports injuries
- Debilitating conditions
- ME
- Arthritis
Professional sports people have a need to recover from injury as quickly as possible and in this sense Reiki is a wonderful healing tool helping to improve recovery times.
As I am also a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Advanced EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy) practitioner
I often use Reiki in conjunction with the other therapies of Hypnosis and EFT which I also practice. All three therapies complement each other and aid my goal of identifying the source of a clients problem prior to devising a way forward for them. A combination of Reiki and Hypnotherapy ( Hypnoreiki ) is often used as it is both calming and reassuring to clients on a whole range of emotional and psychological problems.
Healing hands for animals
I have always had a natural affinity with animals and as my experience of Reiki has developed I have been drawn to work with a wide range of animals cats, dogs and horses, helping to improve post-operative healing rates and to generally ease their suffering. Animals have no preconceptions about natural phenomena as we humans often do. They therefore welcome and gain great benefit from Reiki . They get toothache too!
Reiki Worcester - What to ExpectThe Reiki experience is a calm and restful one. I therefore work in a suitably equipped therapy room with a background of supportive and restful music and lighting. Usually the client reclines on a couch in order that they can relax fully. There is no need for the client to remove clothing as the Chi energy is effective irrespective of the presence of clothing or plaster casts! A Reiki session usually lasts about one hour and during that time I address, in turn, all areas of the body. In doing this I place my hands close to, though not touching, the client. It is quite common for clients to experience an unusual amount of heat in my hands as the clients energy is generated.
About Reiki Worcester Reiki is the process of gaining access, through the skilled practitioner, to ‘Chi’ energy. This subtle but wonderful life source energy flows in an unobstructed way through all living things. Disturbances caused by illness of the body, mind or spirit however disrupt the smooth flow of Chi. The Reiki process therefore seeks to restore natural flow of Chi and in doing this assists the body’s natural healing processes. In the physical sense Reiki is often used to speed post-operative recovery times and in the hastened healing of wounds, breaks, muscle, arthritic, joint pain and ligament strains. Chi energy is an entirely positive force and when channeled through a skilled practitioner can be used to assist people suffering from anxiety and stress, in fact, all psychological and emotional conditions. Consequently a client suffering from any disturbance of the mind can gain benefit from Reiki. Through Reiki I have seen clients suffering from problems as diverse as, phobias, bereavement, eating disorders, addictions and ME return to a state of balance.
