I believe strongly that everybody has the full capacity to create and enjoy his or her live! We are born with the ability to overcome adversity and obstacles of any magnitude and to develop ourselves continuously through our lives with the aim to be healthy, happy, engaged and fulfilled. Stress, depression, anxiety and ill health is part of all our lives; sometimes more sometimes less, but our inner most core is always on the search of balancing, enabling and creating the most whole and satisfying way of being. When we tap into our core resources and knowledge we will feel tangible, real changes in our outlook, energy, corporate and private ability and strength. Knowing and enhancing this strength will lead to enjoyable self development and success. You are at the centre of everything I do

About Art therapy

Art therapy is not (only) for artist. It is a very powerful way to access deeper layers of memory and potential obstacles which restrict our growth and strength and those unconscious powers which influence our rational mind and will.

The human mind works mainly in pictures and in movements, not in words. If we can access those pictures and movements who steer us we have access to the key to unlock our strength and joy to live and create our lives in a way we want.I have experienced  Art therapy to have  this power over and over again.

For whom does this work

Art therapy has a reputation to be useful for children and those who are not able to use words effectively. But Art therapy can be of great effectiveness for people who rationalise extremely well and those who are used to analysing themselves and others. Why? It does not  allow the intellect to do all the work, to manipulate and run the show, but for the subtle nuances of locked away knowledge and experience to surface and to have a part in the development and decision.

I consider art therapy therefore to be most beneficial as well for those who are used to be intellectual:
  • Therapists
  • Academics
  • Managers
  • Rationalists
  • Paper doodelers and dreamers
Those who find it difficult to talk about their feelings and communicate emotions

By working with this powerful psychodynamic tool I have seen tangible progress for clients who have been in therapy for years in only speaking therapies as well as with clients who thought their distressing symptom would rule their lives for a long time and have enlisted  the help of a therapist for the first time.

Session set up and time
A regular session will consist of three equal parts: initial talk work with art materials and reflection. But we always expect the unexpected to happen.

many issues of depression and anxiety will require only 6-12 sessions with a flexible management of feedback's and  check ups if required.

A session is between 60 min and 1 1/2 hours and can happen weekly, fortnightly monthly or even every 3 depending on your needs.
