My Psychotherapy Approach I am a male psychotherapist bringing clarity, sensitivity, warmth & humour to my work, offering a supportive, confidential & safe, jargon free therapy. I hold an impartial viewpoint, working with both understanding and intuition.
Human beings are infinitely complex & full of mystery & psychotherapy is not an exact science nor a medical treatment. Therefore, I do not hold a one-size-fit-all psychotherapy approach, nor claim to have every answer. My training & experience in psychotherapy enables me to work with a wide range of strategies & approaches. My Psychotherapy approach includes: Transpersonal Psychosynthesis, Integrative, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and other modalities of psychotherapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques if required.
Much research demonstrates that what people value the most is feeling at ease with the psychotherapist. I respect the humanity in us all & acknowledge our unique circumstances & diversity. I enjoy working with women & men, old or young of any nationalities & cultures, religious or not, white, black or mixed race, straight, gay or bisexual. Some prefer to see a male psychotherapist, whereas other people don't have a strong preference.
My Psychotherapy Background Having over 26 years experience of working with change in people’s lives. I was drawn to my psychotherapy training because it is also "psychology of the soul". I keep abreast of developments & continue to undertake training in the psychotherapy field. I value & acknowledge what I have learnt from others.
