Within the context of this website it should be mentioned that Monika is not a medical practitioner but a teacher of this exercise technique. We do not diagnose nor  treat, we teach movement. However, we do get referrals from practitioners like physiotherapists, once a diagnosis has been made and the medical practitioner is happy to have their client move on to exercising safely. Within this context Pilates has very often been helpful to assist managing and rehabilitating many conditions. Always speak to your medical  practitioner first.

Monika is a fully qualified member of the Pilates Foundation UK. She trained in the renowned studio "Pilates off the Square"  in London. Since qualifying in 2003 she has worked in Pilates studios and physiotherapy clinics in and around London before opening the Essex Pilates Studio in 2006 in Braintree, Essex, UK. She has gained valuable experience with a wide range of clients in regards to age, ability, injuries etc. Monika keeps her skills up to date by regularly attending workshops for professionals. She prides herself on providing a first class service whilst creating a comfortable and relaxed, yet cheerful atmosphere in her studio.

The Essex Pilates Studio is located just a few minutes away from the A131/A120 junction (near Freeport Village) in Braintree. Easy Parking is available on the street either directly in front of or around the studio. The studio is fully equipped with brand new state-of-the-art equipment from Balanced Body. Working with equipment greatly opens up the range of exercises possible: It can frther challenge the beginner as well as the professional athlete and help with injury prevention or assist and support the body during rehabilitation. Use of the spring-loaded machines builds strong and toned muscles without creating any unnecessary bulk, improves flexibility, and helps to correct faulty movement patterns. The equipment can simultaneously support and challenge all ages and all fitness levels.
