What to Expect
Hypnotherapy is a short-term goal based therapy and clients can expect to make significant progress with their emotional, physical or psychological symptom in as little as 3-4 sessions. It is a talking therapy which uses hypnosis, in addition to counselling, to enable individuals to accept positive suggestions far less critically than in an alert or normal state.

Hypnosis can be so beneficial precisely because it is a deeply relaxing physical state of associated mental focus. A meditative place if you like, from where people can start to embrace change from within and address the sort of physical or mental life challenges that previously they may have been avoiding or delaying action on.

My job as a Clinical Hypnotherapist is to facilitate those changes through the delivery of tried and tested treatment protocols designed to help and alleviate mental and physical conditions with specific presenting symptoms. Please look below to see the conditions I can treat.

About James
James Darby trained at Imperial College, South Kensington with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH), an internationally recognised training organisation in clinical and medical hypnosis. Registration and membership demands good quality training, ethical practice and adherence to an ethical code of conduct

Before becoming a Hypnotherapist James spent 15 years working in the advertising and media industries. He has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Cass Business School and many moons ago was a honours Philosophy graduate from the University of York.
