Our approach to your therapyWe do not believe that any one therapeutic model is right for all so our counselling sessions are tailored to suit the individual. This approach provides a more effective therapeutic experience for you.
Our therapists use a combination of Solution Focused and Cognitive approaches which means that we are future focused, strengths based and goal oriented.
Collaboration is key to successful counselling and effective change so we will help you explore options and possibilities while working to raise your awareness of both yourself and of others.
What to expectOur counsellors are committed to providing high quality therapy which involves a comprehensive assessment. This typically means that one of your initial sessions will be longer in duration but results in more time in the therapeutic process.
During your initial session you will have the opportunity to talk about your particular issues. This will give both you and your therapist a better understanding of what has brought you to therapy.
From there, any life issues you are experiencing will be explored more deeply so you can examine the thoughts and behaviours that are causing distress or negative feelings.
