About MeMy work is evidence-based meaning that the hypnosis and therapeutic services I provide have been proven to be efficient at helping clients achieve change and this has been documented in many publications including medical journals.
I help people from all walks of life from all over the North West and further a field. Hypnotherapy is described as a brief therapy meaning that most problems can reach a resolution in a matter of weeks rather than months or even years in therapy. Some conditions can even be rectified in as little as two sessions and the exciting thing about hypnotherapy is that its application covers a very broad spectrum.
You don’t have to be suffering from an emotional problem to make use of the power of hypnosis. It is just as efficient in helping with quitting smoking, weight management, exam nerves, driving test confidence, sports performance and many more.
Our consulting rooms are discrete, private and tastefully furnished to maximise your comfort which helps you feel much more relaxed. There is also plenty of free parking at St James Court.
I use an integrative approach to my therapy, using my hypnosis and psychotherapeutic skills and techniques to help you realise your goals and achieve the permanent change you desire. I am skilled in understanding individuals’ needs and lifting the limitations and negative beliefs that affect people in their everyday lives including work. My education and training provides me with the expertise to operate within a range of conditions and include brief and creative interventions to the everyday challenges faced by individuals and businesses.
I began my involvement with hypnosis in the late nineties, which later lead me to study professionally with the National College of Hypnosis and psychotherapy.
The difference between a hypnotherapist and a Hypno-Psychotherapist is that a Hypno-Psychotherapist is a practitioner who has undertaken a minimum of 4 years of Masters Degree level training (approximately 1800 hours) in hypnosis along with its treatment within psychotherapy, rather than the 400 hours a hypnotherapist would undergo to receive a diploma alone. This means that I can utilise my skills in hypnotherapy but also employ integrative psychotherapeutic interventions to help you achieve your goals.
I have been helping clients with their problems for a number of years and have worked closely with individuals in the TV and film industry, including actors, directors and producers. My approach is friendly, empathetic and professional and I am a natural at placing people at ease, making them feel comfortable and understood. I have helped individuals create extremely positive outcomes by recognising and then eliminating the very limitations and beliefs that stand in the way of change.
I have an innate ability to work sensitively and compassionately with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, fear and phobias but also help individuals with Quit smoking hypnotherapy, weight loss hypnotherapy, gaining confidence and much more (please also see our webpage on treatments). Through the powerful use of hypnotherapy the reasons behind the presented symptoms can be identified and the individual guided to accept a new and more positive way of functioning.
I don’t use testimonials as this compromises my clients’ confidentiality and this reflects my ethics and professionalism.
