Welcome to this profile page!
Its probably safe to assume you may be thinking of having some counselling and that right now you are looking for the right counsellor for you.
I do understand how difficult choosing a counsellor can be so I will continue to tell you about our services and hope that I can answer some of your questions.
Firstly I’ll tell you a bit about me ~ I originally came into counselling after working with families for more than 16 years. This also included caring for my own family. I was frequently being asked for advice and emotional support of some kind so decided to switch careers and work as a counsellor professionally.
I believe that each person should be treated as an individual and it is my hope that they feel comfortable and safe enough to be able to share with me their issues and concerns without feeling that they are being judged or criticised.
Care To Listen is a counselling service currently practicing in Croydon, Bromley and Tooting. We are expanding all the time and expect to offer our services in other locations very soon.
Care To Listen has two lead counsellors, Sharon Thomas, that’s me, and Eve Stephenson, who is featured on our Bromley profile
We both work at all our locations and it is possible to ask to see either of us.
• We are both qualified Integrative Counsellors, with plenty of experience of working with a wide range of issues.
• We frequently attend training workshops and courses as we are committed to being able to provide the best service we can.
• We regularly attend sessions with a suitably qualified counselling supervisor; this ensures that our practice is ethical, well informed and client focused.
• We are able to offer individual and relationship counselling.
• We are experienced in working with many issues.
• We are fully committed to working with all our clients and endeavour to offer them a high quality, caring and flexible service.
Finally I believe that counselling is about enabling you to find satisfactory solutions to your own problems. I will endeavour to conduct sessions with an unspoken respect for each client, and work in a non-judgemental and honest way. MY aim is to help you work towards a fuller understanding of your own problems and to choose your own resolutions to those problems. I won’t tell you what to do or make any decisions for you, that is your responsibility!!
Hopefully I have been able to clarify things for you in some way, but if you would like to know more about counselling in general or how Care To Listen can help you please contact either of us by e mail or by telephone. Alternatively you could check out our website, which has more information on it.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
