Frequent Issues that I will be able to help with:You don't have to deal with it on your own.
Relationship IssuesI have worked with many people with relationship issues over the last 20 years. There are different forms of relationships, namely work, social life or issues with your partner. Other people find it difficult to connect with others, or feel like an outsider, or even misunderstood. Their confidence and self esteem can be greatly affected by these issues.
So we can work together as a team to discover what you need, or what may be needed to be expressed or learnt.
Couples Counselling The film "The Way We Were" sums up in many ways feelings many couples experience when they feel their relationship is starting to go wrong.
Just a few of the many feelings they may experience are, sadness, betrayal, anger and confusion. A question people of often ask themselves is “What am I doing wrong?” and “Where is this leading?”
I have 20 years of experience and provide a space for you to explore these feelings and questions with compassion and fairness. It takes courage to save your relationship or marriage. Negative behaviour can be helped with a non-judgemental approach.
I have just lost someone dear to me.
this is where you may need the most support, gentleness, space and understanding whilst going through the stages of grief. Grief can last a year but is dependent on the individual. It is important to understand you are not alone at such a stressful and painful time and there are people here to help and give you a heart to heart.
My future looks dark and I don't know where to turn? The first thing we’ll do is to undertake some exploratory sessions to discover the options. We will then look at potential areas of conflict. With my strong experience and support we’ll work together as a team to find the best solution to move your life forwards and brighten your life.
I'm always under pressure and stressed out.Our focus would be on your attitudes to life. Do you feel driven? Overwhelmed> would you say you’re a perfectionist? The answers to these questions will help get back in control and handle any situation.
I'm not in control of my life anymore. We would need to explore what being in control actually means to you. If you have previously been in control, what has changed since then?
I feel alone and isolated. Is this recent?Have you always felt alone and isolated? We’ll look at your history in a comfortable, non-judgemental way.
I need more confidence. What would it feel like to have more confidence? How would you see yourself if you had more confidence? How would you know you have more confidence? The answers to these questions are your direct route to your confidence. Together we can do it.
Other questions you may ask yourself that I can help you with are:
- I'm always on edge.
- I'm not managing my life in the way I want to.
- I'm frustrated because I am not achieving what I want to in my life.
- We all feel 'down' from time to time.
- But sometimes it lasts more than a day or two...
- But who can I turn to?
Testimonials"I began to realise that certain films or certain moments in films had stayed with me because they were, in effect, a mirror held up to my own experiences and feelings ... I can see that encountering film at this level invites a depth of self -discovery that I hadn't anticipated." -
