What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is an altered state of consciousness. It is similar to daydreaming. You are still in control and yet you’ll feel you can’t move. You know what’s going on around you. You can hear the noises, and the voices, and you may feel you can simply open your eyes, get up, and walk out of that place where you are having the treatment, and you can’t. There is nothing to be afraid because you are in control all of the time. If something happened which you couldn’t accept your subconscious mind would quickly snap you out of the hypnotic state. But that only occurs if you are being asked to do something which you do not find acceptable. So you’re not going to act like a chicken, and you are in no physical danger either.

How Does it Work?
Clients often ask me how it works. Quite simply you are placed into a wonderful sense of relaxation. First of all your body is relaxed, and then your mind is relaxed. Once you are in this state you are hypnotised, and then I as the Hypnotherapist can talk directly to your sub conscious. In doing so I can change your mind. By convincing the subconscious that it would be better for it to change a certain habit or attitude I can make your life a lot better

About Me
I am a convert to Hypnotherapy. When I was initially introduced to it I was rather sceptical, but then I saw the positive affects it had on people, and how it worked on me. I realised it is a very powerful tool. Also I found out that I enjoyed doing it. It is wonderful to be able to help people, but this isn’t a gift I possess. It is something any of us can do. It is natural. It goes back thousands of years. I have done several jobs in my time, but none of them were as satisfying a Hypnotherapy.
