Been carrying your toddler, running the house, kids to school, pregnant and needing some relief from
back, stomach, leg aches and pains and swelling ?  Have you got PSD or RSI and feel that paracetamol is the only answer ?  A pregnancy massage can provide relief from the painful symptoms of pregnancy, increase energy levels, and give you some much needed time out.  Dads can also benefit from massage too !

In pregnancy, massage can reduce stress and pain associated with the changes in body gravity experienced during pregnancy while also improving your flexibility and range of movement.  The foetus can also benefit from your body's increased ability to absorb nutrients and vitamins and your relaxed nervous system, whilst also giving you increased energy and helping to eliminate toxins and reducing the likelihood of catching common viruses such as colds through stimulating the lymph system.  Massage during pregnancy can also enhance the return to fitness and reduce time in labour !

My techniques can help ailments such as:
  • muscle cramps, backache, lack of energy, RSI, SPD - pregnancy massage
  • headaches, tennis elbow, sciatica, tight shoulders, stress - trigger point and deep tissue massage
  • lack of energy, stress - relaxation massage
  • chronic muscle tension - remedial massage
Your professional, friendly, fully trained and insured massage therapist can come to you, or come to my relaxing treatment room in south Norwich.

Your treatment

Osteopaths use a wide range of gentle manipulations, depending on your age, fitness and diagnosis. Treatment is different for every patient but may include techniques such as different types of soft tissue massage and joint articulation to release tension, stretch muscles, help relieve pain and mobilise your joints. Sometimes, when we move joints you may hear a ‘click’. This is just like the click people get when they crack their knuckles.

Cranial Osteopathy
What is Cranial Osteopathy Cranial Osteopaths view the body as a unique, interconnected, self-healing system.  They believe that the structure and the function of the body are closely related, and a disturbance in the body’s framework can interrupt the natural function of multiple systems, causing a wide range of symptoms.

Cranial osteopathy is a very relaxing and gentle therapy to receive.

It uses gentle manipulation of the cranial bones, spine, pelvis, and other soft tissue structures in order to identify restrictions or strain patterns occurring throughout the body. This restriction or strains can be the result of retained birth trauma or of repetitive activity or even trauma.

Cranial osteopathy is an extremely gentle but powerful  form of Osteopathy , that places  it main emphasis on the treatment of the cranial bones and their attachments to the spinal cord.  this allows the cranial therapist  to address the whole body through the nervous system. This form of Osteopathic treatment can be applied to new born through to the elderly.

Back Pain
Trouble with your back does not simply produce pain in the back. Often it may cause symptoms in more remote areas such as the buttocks, groin, hips, and legs (commonly called sciatica).

Problems in the spine and neck can also cause symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, pins and needles and many more. Indeed research has shown that problems related to the back may affect over 60% of the UK’s population at some stage in their lives.

Osteopaths are trained professionals who are skilled in diagnosing problems, including those which may require further investigation if necessary. Around 30,000 people currently consult osteopaths every working day with more than seven million consultations carried out every year (General Osteopathic Council).
