My ApproachClients usually come to therapy because they are concerned

with some aspect of their lives or relationships and want to make a change but don’t know how. Some have a specific issue they want to address suc
h as overcoming depression, others are unsure to how to go forward ,for instance in a relationship.
As a systemic psychotherapist I would be encouraging you to look at things from different points of view and enable you to make choices about how you want to live your life. Because everyone is different, my approach will vary depending on what is useful for you.
Areas of SpecialisationI can help with:
- Parent-Child Relationships / Family Therapy
- Relationship Issues
- Couple Work
- Depression
- Anxiety & Stress
- Self Esteem and Confidence Issues
- Bereavement
- Living with chronic Illness
What to expectDuring our initial session I will ask questions to understand what has brought you to therapy, what issues concern you and about your expectations. I appreciate that starting therapy can be a difficult step to take, so it is important that you are comfortable with me and how I work. At the end of the session we will decide whether I can be of help and whether you wish to continue.
The number of session can vary depending on the issues. Many people find that 6-12 sessions are sufficient while some require longer-term therapy. I will review this with you on a regular basis.
