Exercise? “Am I bothered?”

Monday 28th September, 2009

A new poll by the British Heart Foundation has discovered that 30 per cent of children in Britain ‘can’t be bothered’ to exercise.

The survey for the Food4Thought campaign also found that one in eight children aren’t getting the recommended 60 minutes of exercise per day and four-fifths were unaware of how much physical activity they should be doing.

Furthermore, one in five claimed that unless someone is overweight then exercise isn’t necessary while almost half of participants spent more time texting their friends or interacting on social networking sites than doing something active.
