Corns and Calluses

Calluses and corns are areas of thick, hard and dry skin on the feet that can be painful.

Calluses can be caused by excessive pressure on the foot or wearing shoes that are too tight. Corns are typically found on the ball of the foot and the outside of the foot where shoes rub.

In this film, a podiatric surgeon explains the treatment of calluses and corns and describes the best way to prevent the problem through good foot hygiene.
