Of course we know the world we live in doesn’t create our stress, but our attitudes toward the world we live in. As Oprah said, little by little she spent less time on herself and as that happened she began to gain weight. The world can put a lot of pressure on us with family and work and it’s easy to put ourselves last on the list. Maybe we’re just not giving ourselves enough breaks, saying no when we need to. Or maybe we just don’t give ourselves enough time and take on too much, and so to compensate we consistently eat to anaesthetise ourselves from those uncomfortable anxious feelings.
