Snoring (sleep apnoea)

Snoring happens when the tissue of the mouth, nose and throat vibrates while breathing when asleep. The position you sleep in can cause you to snore as can having excess tissue or a health problem.

In this film, a sleep expert describes snoring, a condition known as sleep apnoea (whereby breathing stops causing you to wake) and also how to get a good night’s sleep.
