Parkinson’s disease is a disorder of the brain caused by a loss of nerve cells which prevents production of a chemical that transmits messages from the brain to the body. The resulting symptoms are a loss of voluntary movement.

Although considered to be an elderly disease, this film shows a woman diagnosed with the condition in her 30s and the impact it has had on her life.
