The Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management (CNELM) in Berkshire provide several short course opportunities to find out whether a career in nutrition is right for you. You can join an Open Day and Food Demonstration Workshops to an 18 week evening class leading to a Food for Health certificate. Most short courses are also open for general public interest.

What To Expect Our open day, certificate in food for health course, and cookery workshops are available to the general public who want to find out more about nutrition training or how to cook nutritious meals and food.
Open Day Before signing up to one of our courses you can find out more about which one is right for you by attending one of our open days. You'll learn about the Centre's philosophy, approach to nutrition and see a demonstration of our online resources.
These open days are geared towards those looking to register on our undergraduate degree courses or Fast Track/Postgraduate options.
Certificate in Food for Health The Certificate in Food for Health course follows the same syllabus as the ITEC Diploma in Nutrition & Health but does NOT lead to a practitioner certificate. Students who want to continue studying toward one of our Bsc (hons) courses will be awarded cost reductions from level 1. Students unable to attend CNELM can access lectures online. This course is an ideal opportunity to find out whether nutrition is the right career for you.
Cookery Workshops Cookery workshops cover topics such as cooking for coeliacs, nutrition for athletes and healthy meals for kids.
Your Teachers Open Days Open days are led by nutritional therapist Kate Neil. Kate has a Masters degree in Nutritional Medicine and is the director of the CNELM.
Certificate in Food for Health Michelle Barrow runs a Nutritional Therapy Practice called Health Generation and has a first class degree in Nutritional Therapy and a Masters degree in Nutrition. She has completed a teaching diploma (DTLLS) and has Qualified Teacher Status (QTLS).
Cookery workshops CNE has teamed up with Cookery Writer, Chef and Health Trainer Christine Bailey to run unique Cookery Workshops over 2011.
