Target groups:

This qualification will be useful for those seeking to enhance their functional role by the use of counselling skills (for example, health and social workers, teachers etc). It will also be of use to those wishing to consolidate their skills and knowledge in a counselling context.

Course aim:

This qualification aims to develop candidates\' counselling skills to a safe level of practice, provide an introduction to essential counselling theory and raise awareness of professional issues for the developing practitioner. It also aims to provide a safe environment for personal development and promote the practice of equal opportunities.

– Contextual framework for counselling practice

Course duration:

80 guided learning hours. Will be delivered as 20, three and half hour sessions and two full day (6 hours)
