At NLSSM we specialize in preparing our graduates to do a job and to do it well. We value the process of developing a therapists' skills to a very high standard, much like an athlete, through repetition and skilled training. In order to ensure that you have all the advantages we have a high ratio of teachers to students, as well you will have opportunities to gain experience in a clinical setting and/or work and event experience. All our senior tutors are full time therapists and bring with them years of experience in order to guide you through your studies. We are passionate about what we do and our hope is to inspire you to be as dedicated as we are.

About Us

Introductory sports massage courses allow the student to learn and practice the relaxing effects of sports massage with the practical guidance of knowledgeable teachers. It also serves as a starting point for those considering a career in this profession.

NLSSM specializes in training our students to have the appropriate diagnostic and assessment skills that will enable them to treat minor soft tissue conditions and be able to determine appropriate referrals. As well as the foundational subjects & techniques, the following are included in the sports & remedial massage curriculum:

Introduction to Biomechanics

Postural Assessment

Stretching techniques

Soft Tissue Release, Muscle Energy Techniques, & Neuromuscular Technique (essential tools in remedial massage)

Soft tissue injury and rehabilitation workshops

Business Mastery (teaching students the essentials of being self employed & how to market your practice)

Our teachers are not only highly qualified in their fields of expertise but are also trained in the application of accelerated learning techniques, to ensure students learn more.
