The Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management (CNELM) in Berkshire teaches a BSc Hons in Nutrition Therapy fully validated by Middlesex University. This means that CNELM are approved by Middlesex University to teach this degree privately at CNELM.

Background The BSc (hons) Nutritional Therapy degree programme provides you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to help encourage clients toward the very best of health through nutrition and lifestyle management.
This course leads to membership with the professional body British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and professional registration with the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) which is the only voluntary register for Complementary and Alternative Practitioners backed by the Department of Health. This course is fully accredited by the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC). Once complete, you will be able to practice nutritional therapy.
Studying with CNELM offers you flexibility of study options and our primary aim is to successfully support you through your degree. Students can expect to receive sixty taught days a year with an additional 30+ days of tutorial support.
What To Expect The degree course can be taken full time (two attendance days per week in term time + 1 day for tutorial support) over three years, or part time in anything up to 6 years. Most part-time students anticipate completing their studies in 4-6 years.
By the end of Year Two, there will be an opportunity for you to become an NLP Practitioner and a Nutrition Coach and at the end of Level 5 you should be able to conduct a full nutritional therapy consultation. By the end of Level 6 you will be ready for independent practice paving the way for your transition into a fully qualified and accredited nutritional therapist.
You can attend all classes at CNELM or access around 80% of the course online. Compulsory attendance is required for clinical and coaching elements of the course.
Course Details To join the course you will need ‘A’ levels or equivalent in Chemistry and Biology (human) and you need to be proficient in English.
CNELM provide tailored home study foundation courses in Chemistry and Human Biology if you do not have the requisite qualifications or level in the sciences. Three weekends of taught chemistry classes are also available twice a year at not additional cost.
