I am an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults in short and ongoing one-to-one therapy in my central London private practice. I am an integrative therapist who can also work with the arts if this interests you (clay, art, movement, music, poetry, puppetry, sand tray as well as dreams and metaphor). I offer therapy as a space to explore where you are at – what it is bringing you now and the change you are hoping for.
I work with whatever issues and feelings you bring, and that come up for you during the therapy. That said, I also have particular experience in working with people exploring:
-Anxiety and depression
-Anger management & conflict
-Bereavement, grief and loss
-Change and transitions
-Emotional, physical and sexual abuse
-Faith and spirituality
-Family conflict issues
-Gender and sexual diversity, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQQIA+) identities
-Personal, ethical and political beliefs
-Self-esteem and self-confidence
-Stress and feeling overwhelmed
As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on a number of key theories. I believe that we human beings strive to be well and that the relationship between client and therapist can be a key source for change (relational and humanistic theory). Early relationships, particularly in the family, are significant because they influence our subsequent expectations for, and ways of being in, relationships with others (psychodynamic and attachment theory).
To explore starting therapy, you can either call, email or text me. I’m happy to talk on the telephone or via email about any concerns or questions you may have about the process and to arrange an initial appointment.
